Last weekend, February 14, LEE Drill and Pep performed in the Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition at Piper high school. They delivered an outstanding performance and earned multiple top placements and individual honors across several categories.
The Darlings team led the way with an impressive set of results. They were named Best in Class 1st Runner-Up and earned 1st place in Pom, 2nd place in Hip Hop, and 3rd place in Jazz, showing their strength and versatility across styles.
The LEE Pep Squad also had a strong showing, taking 1st place in Novelty, 2nd place in Pom, and 3rd place in Jazz, along with Best in Class 2nd Runner-Up. Their energy and teamwork were clear in every routine.
“This past competition was so fun, and I’ve always enjoyed competition season. I love the memories that I’ve made, and I can’t wait for our next competition to do even better.”ISA Sophomore Sofia Zavala said.
Individual dancers from the Rubies group were recognized for their talent and dedication. Jayden Martinez and Janelle Lopez earned High Platinum and 2nd place for their duet, showing off their skills in working in unison. Lopez also received High Platinum for her solo performance, as did Ava Mulroy. Ashlyn Laque, Marizela Saucedo, and Frannie Cox were honored with Platinum solo awards, highlighting the depth of talent within the program.

These results reflect the hard work, discipline, and passion of every performer involved. Directors, teammates, and supporters are incredibly proud and excited to see what the rest of the competition season holds for these dancers and join them this upcoming Saturday, February 21.
