Election day is November 5, and students who turn 18 prior to that date and are a U.S citizen will be eligible t cast their first vote. But you can’t just show up at the polls, you have to be registered in order to finally play your part. As you become an adult voting is a chance to decide what’s best for your country and your future.
The first step to voting is of course being 18 or older and registering to vote.
You can register to vote online on the Vote Texas website, or you can register in person. On place where you can register in person are college campuses, they have resources like “NextGen America” that help you register if you’re new to the experience step-by-step.
You have the privilege and right to cast your vote; the younger generations’ opinions matter, and should not be shut down.
