Pierce the Veil is back on tour after six years, since their “We will Detonate” tour in 2017 and has finally released a new single called “Pass the Nirvana” on August 31. Since their last album, “Misadventures,” dropped in 2016.
The band is sharing the stage with another Grammy nominated rock band from Detroit called I Prevail has named the tour: Fit for a king. The tour started September 9 in Asbury Park, New Jersey and ends November 22 in Detroit, Michigan. The next tour date is in San Antonio September 21 at the new Tech Port Center.
Pierce the Veil is a rock band founded by brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes in San Diego in 2006, other members include Jamie Preciado (bass) and Tony Perry (lead guitarist) who joined the band in 2007. Sadly Mike Fuentues departed from the band in 2017 amid accusations of sexual misconduct.
The band has released four studio albums and has toured worldwide since the release of their debut album “A Flair of the Dramatic” in 2007. Then, their second full release album “Selfish Machines” in 2010. Their third album “Collide with the sky” was released in 2012 featuring their first single King for a Day that has resurfaced on the internet and gone viral due to a popular TikTok trend becoming Billboard’s number one song on the hard rock streaming charts August 18, 2022.
