Homecoming spirit week is a week to remember. Students and teachers celebrate by dressing up during the week of the game, and by attending different events that align with the game.
Lee’s homecoming week themes are Tropical Monday and Twin Tuesday, Jinx Wednesday, USA Thursday, and Lee Spirit Friday.
“Personally, I think the themes are awesome, especially the U.S.A. one. I really liked that one,” LEE Freshman, Serenity Gonzalez said.
The homecoming pep rally was Sep 12 in the school gym. This event was a great way to show your school spirit since groups from all over campus were there to support the team. The LEE Dance, Band, Cheer, and Pep all performed, and they were accompanied by the NESA Dance students.
“So it feels really nice to be involved because you get to show school spirit… I love seeing all of the other students showing school spirit and getting involved, especially with the spirit week themes. I saw some people actually going out of their way to look good and go with the theme and thats what I like to see.” Senior Cheer, Katia Baez said.
Pep rallies are also a great way for these organizations to show off their skills and their hard work in front of a non-judgemental audience.
¨It was great to see everyone go to the hoco pep rally, all of NESA, dance and cheer and I just think it was really nice for us to get to show off what we do and practice,¨ Baez said.
Saturday is the big game against Brackenridge. “This week has been so exciting, we are gonna win the football game against Brackenridge-class of 2027!¨ISA Junior, Lillian Guerra said.
It’s an experience that you’re not going to want to miss, for it’s part of the whole experience. Come out and support the team, show your school spirit, and see the homecoming court this Saturday, Sep. 13. The game is at Comalander Stadium, and it is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m..
