The week prior to spring break, the ISA senior board sponsored a schoolwide tournament called Rochambeau.
They announced the proceedings with a video announcement given to the school during LEE Time last week.
Each grade level was to receive an assigned bead color, with one beaded necklace per person. Throughout the week, students would compete against each other in on-on-one rochambeau battles, otherwise known as rock paper scissors.
At first, students could turn down a challenge, but beginning Wednesday, if someone challenged you, you had to say yes.
The goal of this tournament was to have the most beads by the end of the week. Students could play with other students from different grades, and once they reached a certain number of beads, they were allowed to challenge teachers and even the principal.
The catch was that anytime you lost, you had to give all of your beads to the person who beat you. Once you had lost all of your beads, you were officially out of the competition.
There could only be one winner per grade. Finalists faced off in a tournament for the win on Friday, and winners were announced at the end of the week.
