LEE hosted an elective open house night for middle schoolers, and current students on January 22, in the PAC lobby. Attendees get the opportunity to check out booths representing many of the campus’ fine arts, languages, and specialty programs, and get to know more about their future options. The event arrive just in time for 2024-2025 course selections.
Classes and clubs like debate, color guard, business/accounting, visual arts, dance, yearbook and Chinese culture club were present. ”I feel that the chinese culture club is a great opportunity for them to make connections, learn about the Chinese culture and be more connected with another culture that is so fascinating,” Samantha Briano (11) said. Samantha is the club’s secretary and attended the event to talk to potential new members.
But classes and future obligations were not the only thing that was happening there, the Mariachi Unidos were making the place more fun with incredible music. “The mariachi is my favorite part of the night,” Ms. Jennifer Galindo said. ”The fact that there is music makes me happy. Makes everything more fun.”
